QUESTIONS:

How do I find out if I have any quarantined e-mails?

I’m missing some e-mails. Where can I look?

I received an e-mail saying that I have some quarantined e-mails. What do I do?

ANSWER:

If you are missing some e-mails or if you have received an e-mail stating that you have quarantined spam e-mails, you are now able to directly access your quarantined items. If you receive one or more e-mails stating that you have quarantined e-mails, click the link in the last e-mail notification. Links in earlier notification e-mails are disabled by subsequent notifications. If the link does not work or if you have not yet received an e-mail, use the following procedures.

You will need to type "MERCYHURST\" before your username as in the screenshot below.

Note: Webmail does not function in the Mac OS Safari browser. If you use the Mac OS operating system, please use Firefox or Netscape to access Webmail.

Instructions: To access your quarantined e-mails follow the link to the quarantined website. You must log onto access your quarantined e-mails using your e-mail address and password. Once logged on you will see any e-mails on hold. You have three options at this point.

  1. Delete the e-mail
  2. Release the e-mail for delivery
  3. Leave it and let it be deleted. Currently e-mails will automatically be deleted after 30 days. NOTE: If we find this folder growing to rapidly or filling the server the time frame will be adjusted. DO NOT assume you can retrieve them later if you leave them. They are not backed up and cannot be restored once deleted.
