QUESTION:

Why do messages disappear from my e-mail folders when I use Webmail?

ANSWER:

In Webmail, you can choose to filter the type of e-mails that you view. At the top of the screen, the name of the folder in which you are currently viewing e-mails appears next to the chosen filter if applicable. By default, there is no filter so Messages is shown next to the folder name. This means that all e-mail messages are shown. Clicking the arrow next to Messages displays the list of available filters. If Unread Messages is chosen, the e-mails in the list will only be those marked as unread. If you leave this filter on, when you leave the folder and then return to it, you won't see any messages that you read while viewing that folder. If you use the arrow next to Unread Messages and choose Messages, you will again see a list of all messages regardless of read-status.
