Software Tech Note 1: Accessing WebAdvisor using Internet Explorer

ISSUE:

When going to webadvisor.mercyhurst.edu the following error message is displayed: "The page cannot be displayed."

RESOLUTION:

View a Flash demo or follow the directions below.

Windows

  1. In the Internet Explorer 6.x Tools menu select Internet Options...
  2. In the Internet Options window select the Advanced tab.
  3. On the Advanced tab under the box labeled Settings scroll down to Security. Check the box labeled Use TLS 1.0.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Restart Internet Explorer 6.x.

Mac OS X

WebAdvisor will not work in any version of Internet Explorer for the Mac. To access WebAdvisor on a Macintosh computer, please use Safari or Firefox.
