How do I map/mount the H: drive (home folder) if I am a student?

ANSWER:

To map a network drive or mount a network share, use one of the following procedures.

Microsoft Windows Users    Macintosh Users

Microsoft Windows Users

Mapping the H: Drive as your home folder on Summit.

  1. Open My Computer and choose Map Network Drive... from the Tools menu.
  2. In the Drive drop-down menu choose ‘H’ as the drive letter.
  3. In the Folder drop-down menu type \\mercyhurst.local\home\username\.
  4. Check the box labeled Reconnect at logon and then click Finish.

Macintosh Users

Mounting your home folder on Summit.

  1. In the Finder, choose Connect to Server... from the Go menu.
  2. In the Server Address field type smb://summit07/home/username/.
  3. Click the plus sign (+) button next to the Server Address field to add the server address to your favorite servers.
  4. Click Connect.
