QUESTIONS:

How do I change my network/e-mail password?

ANSWER:

There are three ways you can change your network/e-mail password.

  1. Log onto a Windows computer on the Mercyhurst campus.*
    • If your password is expired.
      1. When logging onto a Windows computer on the Mercyhurst campus you will receive the message, "Your password has expired and must be changed."
      2. Click OK.
      3. On the Change Password window fill in the appropriate fields.
      4. Click OK.
    • If your password is not expired.
      1. While logged onto a Windows computer on the Mercyhurst campus, press Control + Alt + Delete.
      2. On the Windows Security window, click Change Password...
      3. On the Change Password window fill in the appropriate fields.
      4. Click OK.
  2. Use the Password Management Tool at https://secure.mercyhurst.edu/password/.*
  3. Mac users must use Mac OS X 10.4 and above.
  4. Use Webmail*

* If your password has expired you must log onto a Windows computer on campus to change your password or contact the helpdesk to have your password reset.

Note: Changing your network/e-mail password does not change your Blackboard password.
